"My question, isn't Mohammed considered "God" on similar lines ar Christ is. (not to get into a debate of Son of God etc.)"

No. Mohammed is not considered in any way to be a divine being. He is considered to have been chosen as a messenger and the Quranic message is considered to have been delivered mostly by Angels. Approximately one third of the Quran is devoted to reverence of Jesus, called Isa in Arabic. The degree of conflict between the populations of believers is remarkably ironic considering the near exactitude of doctrine and principle shared. Seems more to me like the squabbling of sibling rivals than arguments between truly different cultures.
