I always pray none of my places comes up on those lists because I don't want the flood of Ten Best seekers to move in.

Hood River was basically priced off the market when Wind Surfers found out the Columbia River was a windy place with waves that they could surf on. The Bitterroot Valley was ruined by rich hollywood types who bought up all the ranches and hotsprings.
