>>I think you take yourself way too seriously... So I waited patiently for this to happen in my world for a good half a decade and now must remain a doom and gloomer with you on this board holding the same guns and gold and 'casino' shorts and SKF and FAZ as you until the I see the whites in the eyes of a recovering real economy(which might not happen for many years) even though I see more opportunity in the real world for those with knowledge, capital, good credit and a positive attitude to succeed amid the rubble than I have ever seen? I pass this along to younger people with nothing more than youth and energy that are not yet so delusioned and bitter as perma bears and tea bagger types..<<

so robbing society blind is all good, just smile and suck it up? don't identify the criminals and try to get lazy and lethargic americans to defend their wealth, freedom and liberty?

wow, if only our founding fathers felt as you did... we'd never have known the idea of freedom.

no, i deal in reality - or try to as best i can.

most people are delusional and self centered and only desire to "feel good" for the moment.

yes, a positive attitude is important. i'm sure those option arm people were very positive when they bought homes they couldn't afford.

serious old me didn't do that, though. i changed locales and bought a home i could afford - and in a nicer area, too!

those positive people who took out home equity lines of credit sure did end up big winners! NOT!

serious old me took one out for a business venture only and retired it as quickly as I could.

if only i was more hopeful, i'd probably have car payments and mortgage. perhaps a big, fat mortgage.

greece was a dry run, John... do you think these people wish they had been a bit more realistic as their families get thrown out on the streets and the banksters buy up all their assets on the cheap?

btw, i saw this quote on zerohedge in the comments section of an article...

"I always knew we were in trouble once our leaders started preaching "Hope" and "Shop" as a national agenda."
