If you listen to the entire conversation on Laura's show, you will notice that it was the caller who first used the word. When Laura used it later to give her some advice, the caller took offence for Laura's use of that word. And I ask why.

Chinu, I don't care about the n word. That's not what I considered racist. The woman was upset that her husband's friends would come over and make racist comments about blacks. She was upset that they did that and that her husband didn't defend her. Dr. S. response was that if she can't take the heat, then she should not marry outside her race. I find that comment very racist.....as just one example.
