8/20/10 Update
The market’s gains early in the week were mostly gone by the time Friday’s closing bell rang. At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -3.94% YTD (vs. down -4.22% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -1.47% YTD (vs. down -.24% YTD a week ago). Meanwhile, the somewhat stronger Contest median closed up 2.98% YTD (vs. up 2.24% YTD a week ago).
ROCKY's portfolio (up 44.16% YTD) climbed back into the Contest lead, with DEWDIL’s portfolio (up 42.91% YTD) slipping into second place. FILO's portfolio (up 24.66% YTD) remained in third place. At Friday's close, 18 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black with 19 of the 32 beating the NBI.
