The US is generous, you just have to look to private contributions where we contribute more, not just as a total dollar figure, or even a per person dollar figure, but generally even as a percentage of income. Always the abstract.....maybe the gov't doesn't give but Americans do because we are God's children. Frankly, Tim, I am tired of hearing how wonderful we are. The right has this myth going that's partly based on truth but mostly based on fantasy. Americans are much like other first word peoples.....some are generous, some not so much. End of story.
