PowerQuest Drive Image Version 1.01 Adds Disk

OREM, Utah, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- PowerQuest(R) today announced the release of Drive
Image(TM) and Drive Image Professional version 1.01. The updated version adds media spanning
capabilities and improves partition selection and image file browsing.
Drive Image Professional and Drive Image were designed with two different markets in mind. The
Professional version, which comes in a purple box, allows corporate IS managers to create an image
file of an entire hard disk, place it on a network or CD-ROM and then download the image file to
set up any number of workstations. Drive Image, in the blue box, is designed for the small office or
home user who has a need to upgrade to a new hard drive, or perform a full system backup for
disaster recovery.
Media spanning capabilities allow Drive Image users, without access to a network, to store large
image files to removable media devices like Jaz or Zip drives. When one disk is full, the program
prompts the user to insert the next disk until the image is copied. During the restore process, Drive
Image also guides the user to insert each disk as needed. Drive Image includes the ability to
compress the image file, thus reducing the number of needed disks. >> |
