You are naive. To these Muslims, building this mosque at that location is like putting up a marker in honor of the 9/11 hijackers on that site. No difference at all.
When you visit Ground Zero, it feels like a shrine to those who perished. And it isn't only me with that sense; it is palpable around you as you walk around the construction site, even now.
I don't care if they want to have their religion. But they don't get it a couple blocks from Ground Zero.
Were their intent not specific, they would have no problem with saying, "We understand. We'll move it uptown a ways". But no. They're willing to make this stink because they know the pansy liberals in NYC and this nitwit we have running the country will support them.
