gregor, cisco, &jane How can "things" (money, or options) be "good" or "bad"? IMHO "things" can be used for good or evil. I'm a recent convert to Christianity (from secular agnosticism). I studied to my own satisfaction as an adult, but am not conversant with scriptures by a long shot, and find your posts interesting. So far I'm comfortable that God is the first cause of all things, that he gives us time and choice. Beyond that I start having difficulties, with free will vs. pre-destination. I hear some (and I may be reading them incorrectly) claiming God provides for them like a celestial butler. Are there bible commentaries on line? I'm going to try to follow your posts, all I'll have to offer is questions.
