Java for everyone! The real significance of Java is that it is supposed to be able to allow all types of operating systems to operate with each other regardless of the type of operating system. This can have huge ramifications and a Java operating system can unseat Microsoft's position in the software application arena as Java can possibly allow true applications to be run off the net.
