Grammy: I wanted to remind you that those of us that have been here since the beginning did not buy into a troubled company. That happened later. Since I doubt you will go back and read the last 800+ posts (I wouldn't either) I think I will catch you up to speed on some positive things that many of us have tried to do for Peak:

1. We have all asked since day 1 that their press releases be more informative, have some solid figures, etc. This has never happened.

2. Many of us, Brian, Ryan, Elayne, Veritas, etc. PLEADED with Peak not to change the name to PeakJet. They would not listen. Now we have competitors named NetAccelerator, Speed Surfer, Web Early. If you walked into a store and knew nothing about any of them, which would you buy?

3. I personally wrote a commercial and found a producer that could do a great job shooting it for under $10,000. Even talked to MSNBC and CNBC and they were ready to run it. We could have run it 20 times or more for millions of people and for under $40,000. Peak loved the idea and then in August they changed there mind.

4. I, and many others, asked them to do a public beta test of NetMagnet, like Netscape and Microsoft, so we would find all the big bugs before release, but Peak would not do that. Instead we get this "sign up to be a beta tester" crap which you and I both know they never intended to use.

5. I and my broker set-up a big investor meeting in St. Louis just last month for Peak. We told them you need to follow up with this one guy b/c he can do 1 or 2 million dollars worth of trading for Peak. Peak did not follow up right away and the guy got really pissed and has done no trading in the stock.

6. A friend of mine came up with the idea of some banner ads on Peak's web site to generate a little more money. Peak said "great!" we will get on it. Well that was 5 months ago and still no banner ads.

7. Many of us ask for earnings to be more accessible and Peak DID finally post them on their web site. And the stock did move about 15% upwards the next 3 days after that.

8. There is even more that I cannot talk about because it is still in the works with Peak.

I'm not saying this is a terrible company. They have done some great things for a small firm and I think those great things are going to start to pay off soon. I have never sold a single share of Peak and I could sell it all right now for a small profit, but I think big things may be about to happen.(special hint here to Veritas)

The recent frustration has to do with the fact that they put out a press release saying NetMagnet would be in stores on Nov. 2 when they knew that that would not happen. Then they promised it would be in stores by Comdex. I am still trying to find out if it has shipped yet because it takes 3 - 4 weeks to reach the shelf after the shipment date. I hope I am wrong, but I'll bet 5 shares of Peak stock that this baby has not left the door yet and if indeed it has not then we are now looking at mid-December for NetMagnet to be in stores.

Then there is the fact that 2 different people at Peak told me PeakJet is going to be FREE. Once my heart started beating again I talked to Doug Foster and he promised me PeakJet would never be FREE. Then he said that they may do deals where if you buy NetMagnet you get PeakJet for $10. That sounded okay at first. Then after getting off the phone with him I realized that made no sense because NetMagnet has PeakJet incorporated in it! Why would I buy PeakJet on top of that?

The point of all this Grammy is that I think some of us have earned the right to be cynical and we have earned the right to get really pissed when management dilutes the stock another 2.5 million shares with all the stock going mainly to themselves: peak-media.com We will see if your PR contact helps Peak and if it does that's great, but in the meantime if you hate reading this thread because it sooooooo negative then maybe you should start a new thread. It could be called "Positive Peaksoft thread! A fools paradise, The place where the glass is always half-full and never half-empty"
