Tony Robbins is a success guru / motivational speaker from the late 1980s time frame. He helped popularize some NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) techniques. Sold his DVDs adn tapes in late night infomercials. Point is he is the taxi driver / shoeshine boy - no financial or business background (well his own DVD and seminar business). Confirming studdog's "World and their goddamn cat predict the crash" observation.
