Imam Faisal is an American Citizen Are 'they' American citizens with the rights that are given to us under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I think it is important to remember that the Bill of Rights does not give us the rights. It is just clarifications of the rights that were endowed to us by our creator. From the Declaration of Independence "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Our Constitution grants certain rights to the government NOT the people. The people are assumed to have those rights already. It is an important distinction.
