Interesting link but Poles were stigmatized with the dumb label and other bias much earlier than that in this country. The great immigration movement about 1900 brought thousands of Poles to work in the coal mines. In my home town, the first Polish (also Catholic) teacher wasn't hired until about 1948... The Maginot Line was also a brilliant idea....really took a genius to decide to simply go around it....
