Agree completely.

Because no one is going to announce that interest rates will be going up (only the auctions will do that), I have been taking some of my T stuff off the board. I see a bigger opportunity in gold.

My wife as a federal employee has access to a long term Treasuries fund which, get this, guarantees principal invested, will give the participant the benefit of any bond appreciation (but none of the losses) and pays long term rates.

She is 'all in' on that fund. Being a government program, there is of course no gold fund to invest in.
