Chicken entrails are no less reliable than assuming your conclusion and relying on the assumption to prove your conclusion. Actually they would be marginally better. Maybe there is a one in a quadrillion change that I'm wrong about them and that chicken entrails really do work as a way to see the future. Assuming your own conclusion is on the other hand utterly useless as a way to learn anything or prove any fact, it isn't even a one in a quadrillion thing.
