Good Morning Frank, I concur. Most of their screaming covers or headlines touting gloom and doom have actually heralded major turning points or buying opportunities. One example, back around 1988 (I think) a satirical cover implied that the market for video stores was saturated by mom and pop, 7-11, drugstore, service station etc type operations. Coincident with that cover a $10,000 investment in Blockbuster Video would have yielded somewhere in the region of $340,000 by the time Viacom bought it out only 5 years later. (One of the most timely and profitable divestitures of all time). The trouble is this is an old school type magazine run by the likes of the same old talking heads, (you know who I mean), who continually come out of the woodwork at the bottom of every correction calling for further declines in the thousands of Dowpoints, end of the great bull run, if not the world etc. Still, that's what makes a market. It must be quite a thrill to have seen this little acorn planted only 7 months ago on March 29, grow into such a huge and diverse oak tree of information - Technology is fascinating. If only we could find a way to download all of this rich info into our brains...If we could posess all important and relevant knowledge, investing would be so much easier and decision making would be a breeze.
