Hypocrisy abounds all around the political spectrum. This time, it is liberals who are being illogical. How can you defend freedom of speech and religion by supporting the Muslim Community Center a long walk from Ground Zero, but want to prevent Glen Beck from conducting a rally at the same spot in the same month where Martin Luther King gave his "I've got a dream" speech? Freedom of speech and religion are not selective. It is one of the problems with being a loyal ACLUer. I don't like Nazis marching in Cicero. But they have the right to do so and I will donate money to defend that right. Glen Beck is generally not as bad as Nazis and he has a right to conduct a peaceful rally where he can say incredibly stupid things, and, hopefully, cry a bit. The Constitution is not a fungible option.
