The polling parallels (between the giant recessions in both Reagan's and Obama's first two years, and the way their public popularity polls track each other over the same periods) is simply astounding.

I guess what Mark Twain said so long ago still applies: "History does not repeat itself but it occasionally rhymes."

Seems that the biggest fact of political wisdom to take away from this parallel is that it's ALL ABOUT THE ECONOMY AND JOBS.
