I haven't read it so I can't consider it anything. But it does not appear to be making a huge impact in the scientific community as one would expect it would if the theory was impregnable to valid criticism...

So are they still here? Did they leave any DNA in homo sapiens? Did they teach the Dogons anything valuable (such as how to make whiskey!?). I admit, it is endlessly fascinating to speculate on the possibilities of alien visitations...

If the Sirians were here why didn't they leave some evidence? The Dogons should have had a THOUSAND stories and drawings and what not (don't you think?). Something more inspiring than the single line quoted by an outsider: "Po tolo [Sirius B] and Sirius were once where the Sun now is."

Yes, I'm being the devil's advocate. If there is scientific scholarship that withstands criticism, you could (of course) drop the links on me like a ton of bricks! :-)

I wonder if there are any scientific reviews of the book? I shall look...
