The theory has credible proponents and deserves to be given sincere attention. Obviously, it has a nice fit with quantum theory but many argue that quantum theory will itself break down as humans actually come to know more than one% of .0000001% of .0001% of what they think they know. Personally, although I believe that existence is shrouded in 99.9% mystery--still I consider the likelihood of any of our ideas hitting the true mark to be rather far-fetched. Perhaps the LHC will give us some answers--and infinitely more questions (of course)...
