Did SEG lowering prices help WDC ? CSCO has a program designed to put ASND out of business called the "Golden Dagger" awards program. It was mentioned quite a few times on this thread around the time ASND won the NTT contract. CSCO has stated that when they are competing against ASND that they will lower prices on a case by case basis by whatever amount is necessary to get the contract. Any contract that ASND wins means that the customer DID NOT WANT THE CSCO EQUIPMENT AT ANY PRICE ! I just wish that one day that some big telco equip. provider with deep pockets would snap up ASND and say to CSCO "OK big boy, want to cut some prices, we're going to cut prices across the board against your entire product line, because we're moving into your space and we've got the resources required to be number 1."
