I never thought a commercial would bring tears to my eyes, but it happened:

I came in late, but there was a series of people my age announcing their name. Some of them gave a snippet of their military service. For example one of them flew a helicopter and rescued thousands of soldiers in Vietnam.

The message these men gave was for the veterans coming home today with shattered bodies and souls. They encouraged troubled veterans to get help. The unsaid subtext was that the suicide and mental anguish rate for returning veterans is far too high.

Every last one of them wore the Congressional Medal of Honor suspended from a star spangled blue ribbon around their neck.
