What difference a horizon makes on a kid excelling at some activity. Why do a Brazilian kid excel at football while a Finn, HK, or Singaporean do not? The horizon of a Brazilian kid is limited while a Finn, HK and Singaporean is unlimited. Level of income allows Finn, HK and Singaporean access to tennis, swimming, badminton, auto-racing etc. Their sports prowess is Balkanized among all those sports' activities. A Brazilian kid, level income he can devote time and effort to a single sport and since you don't need to be strong, fast or tall nor need to buy an expensive kit neither require access to a expensive facility.
