As a result of reading this message board, I've become interested in dividend investing. I too am finding out that trying to time a trade to grab the dividend, but not holding the underlying issue for more that a day or so is very tricky. I guess if this trading strategy was easy, everyone would pile in and make some great returns year after year. I have to admit, the issue of looking at the total returns has given my some pause in letting dividends drive my investing strategy. Stock Bull
