For those traders/investors that can't watch the tape all day there is a company called Datalink that offers a pager service with stock alerts for all stocks at approx. $39/month.They have a web site at www.datalink.net.Whenever a stock you are watching happens to hit a preset price level,price change or volume your pager beeps and gives you current price,volume/bid/ask for that stock.Excellent tool for position traders.
