Ted, most of the article is highlighting points that don't matter much. So what if almost a quarter of those surveyed think Obama is a Muslim? Or that 20% have at least an "unfavorable" opinion of Muslims?

So what if the approval of Obama's handling of the economy went up from 38% to 40%? That's still rather sad. About the Iraq war and the BP oil spill, those issues are fading fast. "It's the economy, stupid!"

The article also thinks Democrats can find comfort in Obama's approval ratings of 47%. That is a false hope, as people still like Obama personally, even if they dislike the Democrats. Congress' approval rating is somewhere in the teens, something the article failed to mention.

Any way you slice it, the poll results don't look good for the Democrats. But the article was written in a way that spins the results for the Dems. Why, I don't know, since the last thing Dems need is to remain in denial.
