Bentway, > So, you disown the Old Testament?

The Old Testament was necessary to outline the laws, the judgement, and the wrath of God in response to sin. But Jesus Christ came to fulfill the demands of all three. Without the Old Testament, the actions of Jesus Christ would have no context and no meaning.

Contrast that to the Koran, which starts off all optimistic and all-inclusive of religions, but then changes into a violent book after the author was soundly rejected by society.

One book has a positive outcome. The other a negative outcome. It should be obvious which one is more theologically sound.
