Gap down was mild... still believe it will be closed and the day will close modestly up... big-boys of the big-houses are all on vacation... subs are required to hold the market. secondly... trading activity and therefore the chart patterns have been altered somewhat with the loss of hands on market makers... volatility is nothing new, but perhaps the consistant swings at larger numbers is... after the time gap we'll see 1000 challenged and gaps closed around the lows in sept 2009
