At this point I am willing to separate the personalities of the President and his administration from the idea being promoted, while I consider the idea separately.

Ultimately we will pull ourselves out of this dire economic period if we are able to come up with some innovations which have value on the world market. This is one thing America has always done better than other countries. Old corporate interests will carry us part of the way but with out new products, new sources of revenue, we are on our last legs economically and waiting for a different administration to do something in the distant future might not be practical. So, if we do not support this and get the ball rolling to develop some new ventures, what do you see as alternatives which are supportable in the present time?
