Lebanese governing elite plutocracy does not want peace. This is how it works:

Peace today: money for people whose livelyhood is warfare would dry up.
Youngsters would be demanding jobs. Women would be demanding schools, better houses in short:
they would like some peace dividend.

But the plutocracy only wants to get themselves rich on the state of war.
