Dear Jane : I read in Steve's post that everything you own was "down " and that you went through a terrible range of emotions about it . Then you realized that God was in control and you felt a peace about it. I just have to testify to you about an experience that I had in the market. I owned a stock that I just new was going to take off. I got in a low price and prayed and asked the Lord when I should sell it. Three times in Janurary of that year the Lord confirmed to me to sell August 1 st.. Confirmed by my wife and my father and a good friend. All told me they had prayed and felt the Lord was telling me to sell on Aug 1st. I was obedient and sold out on Aug 1st. and made a double on my money. Had I held until Feb of the following year I would have made a fortune ( to me ). I would have made six times my original investment.. I was distraught and prayed to the Lord.. I told a friend of my about it and he asked me if I needed that much money...my answer was no !! I did not NEED that much money.. He said OK there you go..someone else needed it more than you did....I thought about it and thought to myself , Yes God was right.. I didn't need it, so I'm not going to worry about it anymore.. and you know I didn't worry about it from that time on.. But 6 months later the LORD showed me the REAL reason he didn't want me to have that blessing ( I thought ). My wife got another job and it turned out to be a nightmare for the whole family.. There was no peace in the household and to be honest with you she was driving me crazy.. I thought to my self if I would have had the money from the investment that I missed out on , I would have been very tempted to take it and move to another state, leaving her behind. Well the story finishes this way..... I tuffed it out....she quit the job..... and the Lord gave me back my wife... I am so happy with her it is incredible....she thrills me now in ways that I never dreamed possible.. We fell in love all over again and and I wouldn't trade what I have with her for any amount of money... I hope this is somehow relevant with you.....In Christ,, whose love and deep concern for you is beyond your greatest expectations and whose abundance is greater than what you can imagine.......gregor
