You make it sound like "bad pointers" are things within every program, or that they just happen. Bad pointers are usually generated from bad or immature programs. Netware does support a "Ring 1" solution along with their traditional "Ring 0" solution which gives it the ability to run untrusted (or untried) NLMs safely. Ring 0 is a better place to run tried and trusted NLMs because they are faster their.

NT is years behind NetWare, now it is up to Novell to keep the distance or even gain further on their lead.
