Cheryl & All -

Wall Street Journal had explicitly indicated that they did not intend to step up coverage on the (Y2K)issue until such time as BUSINESS FAILURES START TO OCCUR.

Just for your own education try calling the WSJ's editorial board & see what sort of response you get.

The answer will be: "We've covered it. That's not news. My editor's not interested."

Personal disclaimer... the first 'substantive' coverage of Y2K by the WSJ was initiated in Tom Petzinger's "Front Lines" column on 8/25/95 depicting my 'David vs Goliath' efforts in peddling a Y2K software tool. Subsequently Petzinger has had 3 or more columns (including the one on Bob Bemer's silver-plated bullet)... & now he's been told to shut up.

Try talking with the WSJ's West Coast technology reporters/editors.... Zzzzzz.
