Palin would get the core vote. But I think the way the MSM has slimed her, she couldn't get enough of the independent vote to win.


She's made a lot of progress since 2008. Most of all, she has held everyone's interest and shown her power. She changed the national debate on healthcare with a single Facebook posting. Now on top of that, she has proven herself a kingmaker in the party. Could you have imagined seeing a liberal wail "Why don't we have our own Palin?" two years ago? I do not think her image is beyond repair among independents. In short, I would not count her out.
