webpilot, thanks for posting that article link, I might have missed it for a couple of days otherwise.

As I've said here, I believe ULBI to be a more believable story than VLNC regarding production. That makes the story much more scary to me because it casts large doubt over the technology rather than hand VLNC a big advantage.

I have been completely out of both stocks for a couple of months waiting for the real story to develop. I am as bullish on the technology as anyone on SI, but the level of froth in the VLNC thread scares me. I think it will be much less, much later in 1998 than presently predicted. 1999 should be a good year for polymer, but 1998 is a big question mark with a lot left to be proven by the would-be vendors. When I am convinced that they are ready to go with production I will buy into these stocks.
