Re: "That isn't a reversal. The two points fit together perfectly. If wind is used to replace gas (because neither would be likely to be used for baseline power, they both would be additional to the baseline), then you might have coal supplemented by wind power."

HaHaHaHaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have absolutely *got to be* kidding if you think that saying you should COMPARE WIND GENERATION to GAS-FIRED GENERATION (and *not to* coal ever) and THEN, in the very NEXT SENTENCE going right ahead and claiming to be comparing it to coal-fired generation ain't a silly and transparent reversal!

A child might not fall for guff that transparent.

(And then, to compound matters, and make his 'compare-to-coal' efforts EVEN WORSE as an argument, what he comes up with as an argument is some wild and crazy 'wind-makes-coal-operate-inefficiently' claim for which he provides absolutely no supporting data at all!)

Amazingly inept piece of attempted propaganda. He can't even keep his OWN ARGUMENTS from conflicting with each other....
