Unfortunately, they are often just crowding into the next bubble of hope and expectation only to be once again let down back to the prosaic reality of a struggle for existence. <Why is it a competition? The chimpanzee would not be obsessed with winning, and a rock would likely still be around after all your progeny have come and gone. > Limited resources. The winner gets there first or at least escapes to fight again another day. Rocks just go downhill and get ground to dust. People can go uphill - all the way to the Moon if they like. Mqurice
