Nancy, slowdown was mentioned by Doug G on this thread who is in the business. See a previous convo. Also check with Mike Simmons on the Oil Driller thread.

If revenues decline due to production platforms stalling because of yr2k problems, will companies continue spending on drillers until revenues are restored? Or will there be a slowdown in spending?

As for a market bottom setting it, I shall be looking for indicators and all signs confirming, another post when I have time. Not one for predicting the market ... the market will show us.
