Speaking of 2004, a snippet from Lowry's tonight....

If the market is indeed in a new bear phase, then the
peak of the bull market occurred in mid April, nearly five
months ago. Yet, since 1940 when our data set begins, there
is not a single instance when net Buying Power/Selling
Pressure was in an uptrend and at a new rally high five
months into a new bear trend. There are many instances when
the net figure was moving higher during a bull trend and
even, as from Feb to Oct 2004, when the net indicator was in
an uptrend during a protracted market correction.
