Novell Launches $20M World-Wide Advertising Campaign

OREM, Utah (Dow Jones)--Novell Inc. (NOVL) launched a $20 million world-wide advertising campaign to strengthen its corporate and brand identity.

In a press release, the company said it decided to refocus its marketing strategy around the Novell master brand and three brands, IntranetWare, GroupWise and ManageWise.

Novell partnered with Hornall Anderson Design Works Inc., Lexicon and Young & Rubicam Inc. for its advertising campaign.

Young & Rubicam developed more than 30 ads for Novell that target senior decision-makers, information technology professionals and resellers.

Novell said its new image will create a single Novell graphical identity and a common ''voice'' to unify its corporate and product groups world-wide.

The advertising campaign began Sept. 9 in print business publications and will appear beginning next week in business, lifestyle, and trade publications as well as on 25 World Wide Web sites.
The campaign will include broadcast media later in the year.

Believe it or not, when a company begins advertising, the stock price starts moving upwards. Lets hope from this day on, the stock moves towards that $15 - $20 range.
