Maybe if we get cheap access to orbit and build solar power satellites. Otherwise I'm skeptical, OTOH I do expect solar to grow, and in a century a lot can happen (including perhaps fusion power).

Yeah... I loved fusion power in the early 70's when I was a physics major in college. Unfortunately it won't pan out.

Solar is getting cheaper every day. Probably a ten fold decrease in costs in the next hundred years. Plus storage is just in it's infancy.

Sorry Tim... We don't need utilities to supply power going down the road...

I don't need it now!
