Excellent point ElM. <The Chinese are hard at a work doing philanthropy here in Africa.

No need to tell them how it is done.
> Few people seem to understand that the most useful philanthropy is philanthropic investing = high risk investments which should benefit people but which few are willing to take on.

Only the well-off can afford to risk a good chunk of their money on high-risk things. Most people have to invest in safe things which achieve not much.

A fibre network and mobile cyberspace poles combined with Globalstar in and over Angola is much better for people than some freebies so they can loaf around without creating value for somebody else.

It is probably not philanthropic investing they are doing though. It's no doubt garden variety investments.

Now that you have partly redeemed yourself by apologizing to Gib's ghost, you should apologize to GG and me for allowing that animal Box to threaten and be disgusting. Perhaps you are unaware of your part in the barbarianism. Please be aware of it.
