I do want to note that, cause I have seriously trashed the guy more than a few times. He ran in what was my 1st election when back here in '92 and it was the new age of the 'evil' democrat (we be so godless) and of the scary ho-mo-sex-u-als. I sparse it out as he ran an ad where 2 bubbas in overalls (and I love overalls, don't ruin them for me) sitting in a diner talking with the waitress about how the dem incumbent socialized with... ho-mo-sex-u-als in Washington. the horror. my parents took that personally and have never voted for him. and... about 1st thing he did in congress was try and get some sort of thing in support of defunct-Judge Roy Moore and his 10 commandents stuff.

but dude has been quiet quiet for years. dun like his votes but he keeps his mouth shut. and does stuff like the above.

my eldest sister sat next to him some years ago at an event in DC about disabled issues and she jabbered in his ear, and he took up what she spoke about the very next week. and he's been not embarassing us and doing some good things (aside from teh lousy votes). I think maybe she gave him the evil eye. she told me she was gonna. she does a great evil eye. for her baby sister, she really is "a fierce advocate".
