Japan endures hottest summer on record

For records that only go back a little over a century, which where less accurate earlier in that period, which may be subject to intentional manipulation, which are subject to problems with changing methods of temperature measurements and esp. do to the expanding population and increased use of machinery of all types creating local hot spots, and all of which concerns just 7 hundredths of a percent of the Earth's surface.

This was just one of many weather extremes that occurred this summer. We are never going to have a 100% guarantee that global warming is happening. However, I think there is enough evidence to get me off the fence. This summer has been the most bizarre summer I have ever experienced, following a nearly as bizarre winter. July 4th was the coldest July 4th I have ever endured. I have had the heat on this summer more than the AC.

LA had temps in the 70s last week and expects to have temps in the 60s this week. That never happens....Sept. is supposed to be LA's hottest month. Temps in the 80s and 90s are the norm. Moscow had the hottest summer in its history. Twenty percent of Pakistan was under water from historical flooding. Iowa was under water for most of the summer. My friends in Germany had to turn on the heat last week.....in August.

How much evidence to you need, Tim? The Potomac pouring into your backyard?
