Re: "neither is going anywhere for now."

Well the GOP diversionary tactic certainly hasn't a shred of a chance to pass --- it's merely been concocted to gain some electoral advantage by pulling the wool over the eyes of the voting public.

And the STRAIGHT, unencumbered Balanced Budget amendment proposal (*despite* having more co-sponsors, nearly a majority, then it has had since the years of Ross Perot) ain't about the pass out of Congress this year EITHER. (As I have stated openly here several times in just the past few months.)

No, NOT GONNA PASS OUT OF CONGRESS *until and unless* we, the citizens, PUT THE PRESSURE ON 'EM by getting at least ONE MORE STATE LEGISLATURE to vote to call up a national convention to amend the Constitution.

We are TWO states away from forcing a constitutional convention. As I have ALREADY predicted if just *one more state* votes for a convention Congress will almost immediately pass the amendment out of Congress because they will be both so SHAMED at being bypassed by the public (relegated to 'hind teat' status :-) and also deeply FEARFUL that a convention might pass other stuff.

So --- the root to approval, where action must be taken, lies through the STATES.

ALL WE NEED IS ONE MORE!
