>>>could you please find a way to let DOW JONES NEWS Service or Reuter's or any of the Major News services aware of this. Then maybe we as shareholders could benefit from this.

Hi John (again),

I think it will be disastrous if the news media knows about this. If I own this stock, my first order of business tomorrow will be to call the company and ask to speak with Noam, or Slomo, or Edmund, or Yarev (??? the director of engineering). I may even call 3COM and pretend to be a 3COM shareholder to get their opinion. I wouldn't sell the stock either without getting the fact. But waiting for the news on Yahoo will be disastrous. You may wake up in the morning and find out your stock is already down 20% as the market opens. Is this SI a wonderful site for small investors? Thanks to pass_pass, we know the news even before the news media.

The following article talked about WDM but it mentioned the cost of leasing single-mode fiber channel. It costs $150 per mile per month. To lease a 10-channel link between sites 20 miles apart, it would cost $720,000 per year! This is the cost of leasing. I don't know how much it costs to own a single-mode fiber line. You have to use single-mode fiber to do WDM. Multimode channel fiber is probably much cheaper. The core diameter of single-mode fiber is 2-8 micron, as thin as your hair. A micron is 1 millionth of a meter. The core diameter of multimode fiber is 50-125 micron, more than 25 times thicker. Here is the article: data.com:80/roundups/wdm.html

The following article is a tutorial on GE. It talked about CSMA/CD (the collision detection stuff), and using fiber for GE is a must. Dan Spillane posted earlier this year that GE can run on copper line. Well not quite according to this article, you can only run 30 meters with copper line. See the section "High on Fiber" of this article: data.com

Finally, if you want to see an ugly chart, check the following site: iqc.com

MRVC is approaching the lower Bollinger band, whatever that means. Any TA expert out there?
