So what? NOTHING is ever 100% dependable. (And *some* wind corridors and sites are quite economically attractive....)

And the COST/EFFECTIVENESS of *any* particular energy technology (down at the capital plant level) is dependent on various and sundry important particulars:

Fuel costs (over the projected lifespan of the project), net present day value of the life-cycle costs of the project, availability of, and characteristics of distribution grid, etc., etc., etc.

You keep saying 'never', never', 'never' and you should know that just not true.
