Doesn't matter what the economy is doing when we have an effective unemployment rate of 15 to 20%. Things are very bad. People are desparate.
You say Warren is Obama's right to pick. True, but shouldn't he pay a little attention to his base?
Why? Because you all gave him some slack when he was dealing with the worst oil spill in American history? Because you stood behind him over the health care bill and applauded his efforts? Because you all have worked diligently to silence his birther critics?
Frankly, if I were him, I'd flip you all the bird. But then, the president is a nicer person than I am. ;-)
This is a democracy and if Obama wants the liberal vote he has to pass some of the things we want. If he doesn't want to do that then do not expect our vote.
Liberals have gotten more stuff in two years under Obama than 8 years under either Bush and Clinton. I am a liberal.....I am more than happy with the progress he has made. He is the best president since FDR.
And using the ploy that we liberals have no place to turn(which is true-lol) is too cynical and Machiavellian for my taste. Obama has we liberals in a bind (we cannot vote for anyone to right of center), so he takes advantage of that?
That breeds resentment which is what you are seeing on the left. So many may just stay home in November, especially independents. Not samrt, but what will probably happen.
Fine. Cut off your noses to spite your faces. Apparently some liberals are not very bright. What can I say?
Man, you are one true believer. Is there anything Obama could do that you would critisize?
That's the thing, dude, he hasn't pleased me all the time in the past two years. For an example, I was very unhappy with his decision about Afghanistan but you see, koan, I am an adult. I don't expect a president to please me all the time. If I get some goodies, that's good enough for me.
And, dude, its a two way street. Just because you voted for him doesn't me your support of him ends there while all the goodies flow into your pockets. Just sayin'. |
