NORWALK, Conn., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- mPhase Technologies, Inc. and
Georgia Tech Research Institute Engineers are widening the field of advanced
high speed digital data technology through the development of a unique system
designed to use emerging Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology to deliver
broadcast quality MPEG2 digital video to home televisions via ordinary
telephone lines. The new system would allow telephone companies to compete
with cable and broadcast satellite companies. mPhase's proprietary all-in-one
system solution for the distribution of digital video and data has gained
inclusion in the 1997 Georgia Tech Research Institute's 1997 Annual Report.
This research has been conducted by Georgia Tech Research Institute at their

the end of the first half of calendar year 1998. A series of point-to-point
tests will be conducted at DTC Communications located in DeKalb County,
Tennessee, starting in November, 1997.
